OCD

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) can affect anyone.

OCD is typically when reoccurring intrusive thoughts make a person feel compelled to engage in specific behaviours as an attempt to neutralise anxious thoughts. The thoughts and behaviours experienced in OCD can be distressing with the person experiencing high levels of anxiety until the compulsions are completed.

Research suggests that autistic people may have an increased likelihood of experiencing OCD.
